Code of Ethics
To honor my teachers and my profession and to best serve my family and patients, I will subscribe to a personal code of ethics that upholds a high moral standard.
>I will practice with care, sincerity and an open mind. Therefore, I will continue to cultivate these attributes in myself through healthy lifestyle balancing rest with activity and giving heed to proper diet and moderation.
>I shall create a professional image for my practice based on honesty and integrity which defines clear business practices regarding appointment scheduling, availability and fees so that my focus can be my patient's health.
>I will respect my patient's right to voluntary and informed consent. I will maintain that my patient is the best and final authority about his or her care. I will seek to further his or her understanding but will yield to their right to choose what they believe is best for them.
>Therefore, I will continue to seek continuing education to best serve my patient by teaching them about their condition and options.
>I will practice with respect for each patient's current physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state. I will cultivate an attitude of non-judgment and a spirit of open mindedness and compassion through my own continued practice of Qi Gung, Tai Ji Chuan and meditation.

I will exercise the right to refuse to treat any person or part of the body as my judgment deems appropriate. However, in case of emergency, I will not withhold treatment.
>Given that the practice of Chinese Medicine includes palpation and Tui-Na, I will set clear boundaries which keep the relationship caring yet professional and never sexual.
>I will work in my practice and community toward a better understanding and acceptance of TCM and I will abide by all state regulations. I will be vigilant with regard to any new legislation that might be detrimental to TCM and I will take action for the repeal of such legislation.
>I will strive for professional excellence through periodic assessment of personal strengths, limitations and effectiveness. I will embrace change where necessary to promote personal growth keeping in mind the best interests of my practice and patients.
>I will strive to blend science with sincerity and intuition, keeping my heart in my practice.
